From project design to the industrialization phase, Tecopress acts as a problem solver and takes charge of the whole project developement, up to the finished part.

Our wide-ranging expertise is at your service, to help you pursuing your ambitious targets: casting simulation, equipment and automation systems implementation, production, tests and measurements for a complete traceability.


OUR ACTIVITIES

170 workers - making the most of their expertise within our 28000 mq plant (14000 mq of new construction). Rationality and efficiency drive our everyday activities.

To reach outstanding results in the metallurgic
sector, we make use of advanced tools like:

  • 17 die casting cells, 10 of which equipped with brand-new technologies like termographic cams.
  • 5 smelting furnaces to manage different alloys at the same time,
  • 3 radiography equipment with computer tomography in our new quality department

The high level of expertise developed over the last 50 years
makes us a key partner in the powertrain, drivetrain and industrial sector. From the production of cylinder heads - for both diesel and petrol engines - where high mechanical strength is required, up to the most modern applications aimed at sustainable mobility We work for some of the major groups like Audi, FCA, BRP, DUCATI, BOSCH, ZF, BMW e VOLKSWAGEN.

The digitalization of our processes has been an important milestone through the years.
Nowadays, it allows us to plan evey step of our process in depth, to grant its successful implementation entirely

We help our customers in the pursuit of eccellence, along a growth path that is 50 years long. Passion and eagerness towards innovation drive our daily work ever since 1971, together with reliability and a strong technical expertise in the production of aluminium parts.

1971

Company Foundation

In 1971 Enzo and Sergio Dondi launched their business project by constructing the first building within the company premises aimed at producing aluminium casted parts for industrial application

1985

HEATERS PRODUCTION LINE

A few years after foundation, having left older technologies like sand casting aside, die casting was implemented. Die-casting found its highest expression in the production of heaters

GRAVITY CASTING DEPARTMENT

Till the early 2000', gravity casting drove the company activity, then die casting took its place and became in time more poignant, thanks to the acquisition of new customers and the production of casted parts of growing complexity

EXPANSION OF THE MELTING FURNACES AREA

The expansion of the furnace area enabled Tecopress to start carrying out relevant tests - with the cooperation of partners and producers of special alloys, like Magsimal, Silafont and Aural

NEW CASTING DEPARTMENT

2001 saw the building of a new casting department: 7 die casting machines were added, ranging from 1200 to 3500 tons , aiming at the production of parts for automotive, motocycles, industrial and lighting sector.

MODERNIZING PRODUCTION CONCEPTS

Mid-2000, Tecopress undertook an innovation path, that also included a revision of the basic notions on which its work was based. Lean thinking was introduced, together with operating techniques like SMED and TPM principles.

2014

EARTHQUAKE AND RECONSTRUCTION

The 2012 earthquake suddenly changed the company's perspective, as 50% of the buildings and equipments were thus destroyed. Reconstruction of the damaged area started in 2014, with the help of brand-new building solutions and technologies , introducing the most advanced technologies on the market.

SUCCESSFUL PROTOTYPES

Since 2017, thanks to a new strategic partnership, Tecopress added the first two die casting cells designed on its own specifications. The technology developed for these two prototypes, has since then been applied to all new process facilities

AFTER THE EARTHQUAKE: efficiency drives our company

Sensor installation, digitalization and an Industry 4.0 plan are now part of every process within Tecopress. The furnaces also are equipped with state-of-the -art technology for the tracing of the raw material, aimed at the utmost energy-efficiency.

A NEW FOUNDRY FACILITY

All Tecopress buildings -the old and the new ones - are equipped with light and climate control, making all departments comfortable. People's wellbeing is at the very hearth of all company's efforts while rebuilding , to make up for years of sacrifice and restrictions due to construction activities.

TECOPRESS WORLDWIDE

Tecopress gained a global footprint by taking part to the creation of a production facility in Mexico , together with Siete Leguas Automotive - a division of Siete Leguas Group. This partnership is growing to be a landmark for the supply of machined aluminium parts within USMCA (ex NAFTA) area.
